This stylish and beautifully appointed 3-bedroom period apartment occupies the entire upper floor of a detached stone built house dating from 1880 which has been restored to retain many of its original period features; including working Victorian shutters to all the principal rooms. It is now furnished and decorated to the very highest standards and specification in a contemporary style.

Situated in Westgate a characterful conservation area of high quality period stone properties it is just a ‘pitching wedge’ from the famous North Berwick Golf Club, beaches, harbour, individual shops, restaurants/coffee shops, galleries and train station of North Berwick.

Simply the perfect place to stay year round. The owners receive nothing but praise from all of their guests, many of whom return time again to enjoy undoubtedly one of the best houses in North Berwick.

ACCOMMODATION

The sitting room is a lovely room with dual aspect windows. The original Victorian marble fireplace with cast iron insert has a gas living flame fire.

Two large luxurious sofas and two comfortable armchairs and ample occasional furniture.

For entertainment there is a 42” LG plasma TV with Freeview and SKY TV, PlayStation 3, iPod docking station and WIFI are also available.

Contemporary oak furniture and solid oiled oak flooring can be found throughout the property.

The kitchen features partial views to the 18th green at North Berwick West Golf Course and has been fitted with stylish cream gloss units and fully integrated appliances including gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, dining table and six leather dining chairs.

The three double bedrooms are all very generously proportioned and have Super King beds which can be converted to single beds upon request. Quality mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed linen are standard, bathrobes and slippers are provided for guests staying for a week or more booking.

Main bathroom provides a freestanding roll top bath with claw and ball feet, centrally mounted mixer tap with hand held shower attachment, heated towel rail, WC and wash hand basin. Fully tiled floor and walls.

Shower room 1 provides fully tiled floor and walls, twin wash hand basin vanity unit with mirrors and lighting over, a roomy walk in shower with instant wall mounted shower.

Shower room 2 offers fully tiled shower cubicle with rain head shower, WC and wash hand basin.

The property benefits from its own private entrance and full gas central heating throughout.
A cot and highchair are available for guest use free of charge at this property.

From the A1, three miles past Dunbar, turn right and follow signs for North Berwick on the A198. The main road to the town centre takes you down to a mini roundabout, go right then take a left along the High Street.

APPROACHING NORTH BERWICK FROM THE WEST
Leaving Edinburgh (or its by-pass) take the A1 for Berwick upon Tweed, but follow the signs for North Berwick on the A198. You will enter the centre-of-town area down Station Hill where the fork ahead bears you to the left (one-way system) with putting green and sea on your left (Beach Road/ Forth Street) turn right at Church Street, then right again into High Street, Westgate is a continuation of the High Street. We are located across the Road from the Westgate Gallery.
